I've had my nexplanon implant for a little over a year now, and I love it, except for the fact that it's destroying my skin. Before this birth control, I had fairly clear skin aside from the occasional spot that would pop up, but since getting my implant, I have had constant cystic acne that primarily dominates my chin and jawline, but also is covering my back and sometimes my chest. I love my nexplanon as I need a long term and highly reliable solution since I'm about to enter an intense health care program. Ive considered the copper IUD but I already get debilitating period cramps and I hear that the copper IUD makes cramping worse. I really do love my nexplanon in every other way besides the skin thing. Is there any way I can help my acne while keeping my birth control? Im already using a benzoyl peroxide cleanser and differin gel every day, but it's still relentless. I also already eat a pretty clean diet. Has anyone found a solution to this?
