My experience : Do scars affect my Nexplanon?

So a while ago I got my Nexplanon and i am super happy. My boyfriend and I still used a condom for the first 2 weeks and afterwards he still pulls out. I have a big scar (skin removal from being overweight) on my arm where the Nexplanon is. Now my question is if the scar itself can affect the affectivnes of Nexplanon or am I save?
