My experience : Switching from IUD to Pill
Hello! Sorry if I’m doing this wrong, this is the first time I’ve used Reddit but I’m somewhat desperate for advice. I’ve been relying on my mirena IUD the past year but the pain of having it around is getting to be too much.
If I switch to a combined pill and take it meticulously (and look out for any interactions) do I need to worry about plan B if something happens? Condoms have their own failure rate (and spontaneity is also a thing) so I really want to make sure I can protect myself against pregnancy as much as I can- the IUD gave me a lot of comfort whereas the pill is making me nervous.
