My experience : Birth control pills

I started birth control pills recently and my period hasn’t stopped since (2 weeks now). Besides that my mood has changed a lot for the worse and I wonder if that’s just until my hormones stabilise or something like that, or if they even will?

I even have some period pain and I’m really annoyed by it because it was meant to remove pain and allow me to have safe sex (I don’t like condoms). And I haven’t even finished my first package I’ve taken 13 pills so far… is it normal that my mood has changed so much and is there a possibility it’ll get better? And am I just going to have my period forever or?

I could contact my doctor but have I really even given it an honest try yet? I will meet with her again in 3 months and discuss it again but I’ve contemplated contacting her before if my period doesn’t stop…

Can someone give me some advice or reassurance?
