My experience : Just got off birth control after 5 years.
I took the birth control pill for about 5 years with the last 3 months being that I switched to the patch. I’m one week post patch removal. My period came a week earlier than usual and it is the heaviest period I have ever had. I’m having to book off work because I’m so light headed and dizzy and can’t drive or walk normally. Has this happened to anyone else? I know that going off birth control makes your period irregular again but I have never experienced a period like this even before I started birth control. Should I be going to the ER? Please help.
