My experience : Positive mirena IUD insertion

Hi Everyone. I wanted to share my positive IUD experience as I know the negative experiences get posted about so often. I’m 20f and have never had children this was my first IUD. The experience for me was easy and mostly painless. I’d rate it a 2/10 on the pain scale. The insertion process only took about 5 minutes I was shocked at the lack of pain I felt and how fast it went by. When the doctor told me I was going to feel a pinch or cramp I only felt pressure and it did not hurt (I also found out I have a tilted uterus). I know everyone has a different experience but it might not be so bad! I would recommend not reading or watching horror stories about insertion, I only watched a few insertion process videos so I knew what to expect. I took 800mg of Ibuprofen an hour before my appointment and I manifested that it would not hurt(I swear it helped so much). I’ve had it placed for 24hours now and still no bleeding or cramping. I rescheduled my appointment twice because I was scared but I really had no reason to be.
