My experience : 3 week long period with nuvaring

So I’m on the nuvaring and have been for about a year now. I change it on the last week of the month but this month I forgot to change it for about a week and started bleeding. I haven’t stopped bleeding since. It’s not a heavy flow but it’s enough to get on some of the clothes I wear if I’m not using a tampon. Is this normal or should I go see my obgyn?
