My experience : Arm implant
So I’m really, really sorry that I don’t know the names of the birth control implant that goes in your arm. I want to say nexplanon but I’m not sure!
Anyway, I have been on birth control pills for about five years now. I hate it. I was thinking about different methods. I was going to go with the shot but I heard that some people were infertile after taking some of them? I have PCOS and really don’t want to worsen my chances of not being able to have a child one day even though I’m not sure if I want that or not.
My main concern with the implant is that I don’t think I can handle feeling it inside my arm. Like if I push against it and it’s there, I think it’ll make me sick. I have a pretty weak stomach and everyone is shocked I made it through cortisone injections in my back but that’s just because it hurts so much it was mostly worth it. Still yet, just having that done had me to the edge of throwing up and passing out at the same time. I had six injections in the middle of my back if that is important.
I was just wondering if anyone with the implant had an issue like I’m worried about or if it isn’t near as bad as I think and also if it’s painful at all getting it put in and removed. And if it is a really horrible feeling while it’s in or not. Thanks in advance!
