My experience : On the pill and my period *always* starts by Wednesday. It didn’t this time so now I’m worried (nsfw?)
I’ve (24f) been on the same pill for 4 years, it’s seasonique and I get my period every three months. My placebo starts on Sunday and usually by Tuesday I get my period and if it’s late, it always happens by Wednesday morning. It didn’t this time and I’m extremely anxious.
Back story, my partner of 5 years and I recently stopped using condoms and the last time we had sex was June 7, or less than a week before my placebo pack. On Wednesday evening, I crashed after work and didn’t wake up until Thursday morning. I normally take my pill before bed, sometime around midnight but didn’t take it until the next morning. With the type of pill it is, I figured I was probably safe as I read as long as you’re within 12 hours of your normal time, you’re good.
Side note, on Tuesday I had a little, teeny tiny bit of spotting that was very mucus-y and so that added fire to my anxiety because with my period not starting after that, I’m afraid it was implantation bleeding.
But now I’m late and now extremely anxious and I took a test on Tuesday even though I know that realistically, I wouldn’t get a positive test for another week or so if I am pregnant. I don’t really know what the point of this post is tbh all I know is I’m in an anxious state of limbo and I suppose looking for similar stories/reassurance/advice
