My experience : Doctor didn’t trim IUD strings - urgent care?
Got Paragard placed on Tuesday and just realized that the doctor never trimmed the strings. They are like 6 inches long. I could feel them at the entrance to my vagina and thought that my cervix was just really low, then today I figured out that they were never trimmed at all. They got me an appointment for next Tuesday but I’m wondering if I should just go to urgent care today - I’m worried about accidentally dislodging it. I tried to talk to the on call at my old OB office and they were less than helpful.
