My experience : I’ve been on my period for 2 weeks
So at the begging of June I started birth control patches and things have been alright since. I have never been on any birth control before and my periods have always been pretty regular (once a month, lasting about 5 days, sometimes 1-2 days late). I went through my first 3 patches and after that you’re supposed to go a week patch free to get your period, well I stupidly decided I wanted to try and skip my period and just put a 4th patch on from my new box. Well that stalled it for maybe a couple extra days but I started to lightly spot two weeks ago exactly (not heavy enough to need a pad or tampon) well about 4 days after that it got worse, almost like a regular period. I just took off my 4th patch on Wednesday and didn’t replace it. I will admit since then it’s felt more like a “real” period (cramps, heavier flow, blood clots, etc.). I’m still on my period and I’m kinda getting scared because I’ve heard horror stories of girls getting on birth control and having a period almost everyday. I’m unsure of what to do now. It looks like maybe my period has gotten better since taking off the patch but it’s still going strong. I’m supposed to put my next patch on in 3 days and I’m wondering if I should do that or just wait until my period is over, if it stops. Any advice or help would be appreciated:(
