My experience : Missed period with an IUD
I realize I’m probably over-worrying, but nothing is more comforting than strangers on the internet reassuring me.
I got a Mirena IUD placed in April. It was a rough first month, but it definitely got better and I had a regular period in June. However, I am a little over a week late with my period this month. I had my regular PMS symptoms a few days before it was supposed to be here, but it never came. I’ve not had any physical symptoms except those I’ve been dealing with since insertion- ovarian cyst pain mostly.
I know the chance of pregnancy is very unlikely, but I’m still a little nervous. Should I stress myself out with a test, or is it normal to start skipping periods this early?
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
