My experience : Norethindrone irregular period
I started norethindrone this month after being on microgestin for most of my adult life because migraines are an issue. I set an alarm to remind me to take the pill, but my phone died the other day so I didn’t realize I hadn’t taken it until a little less than 2 hours after my usual scheduled time. I try to take it at the exact time every day and from what I understand 3 or more hours is a late/missed dose, but I have never taken it that late…. Anyway the day after the dose that was about 2 hrs late I did not feel so good, had my typical PMS symptoms, and now the last 2 days I’ve had bleeding beyond slight spotting and feel like I have a full blown period. Is this norma? My dr told me spotting was a symptom but this seems to be more than that. Do I need to use backup bc when something like this happens or only worry about it when it’s 3+ hours? Thanks
