My experience : Copper IUD (or other non-hormonal BC) after cold knife cone biopsy

I am 35 and looking to get back on birth control. However, hormonal birth control makes me extremely depressed and agitated and I cannot go through that again.

I was thinking about a copper IUD, but wasn’t sure if that would be okay after multiple colonoscopies and a cold knife cone biopsy (10 years ago, I had to go under general anesthesia for it and I think they cut a lot out).

Obviously I’m going to ask my gyno about this, but wanted to explore other options before hand to get a lay of the land if copper IUDs aren’t recommended after a CKC biopsy.

Appreciate any feedback or suggestions.
