My experience : Has anyone switched from Depo to Nortrel?

Hello everyone! I just found this community so I’m sorry if there is already a post about this.

I have been on Depo since 2012 and I haven’t had any issues until this year. Depo was starting to give me all type of symptoms like weakness in joints, massive hair loss, increased depression, tender breast, cramps and bloating, excessive sweating, weight gain with no change in diet, and lack of sex drive. I’ve talked to my OBGYN recently she said I’ve been on Depo too long and was trying to push the IUD on me (which freaks me out). After telling her a few times I didn’t want it she finally said she’d send me the Nortrel pill. I’ve never take a pill ever so I’m a bit nervous.

I am wondering if anyone has switch from Depo to a pill and how was the transition? I’m going to be starting my pill next week. Thank you so much for any information and experiences you share! :)
