My experience : Is it okay to have 7 day break mid pack + BC and constipation

So, I'm convinced my birth control (combo pill) has made me really constipated and I feel miserable right now because of it. I've taken one whole pack and am 8 days into a new one without a 7 day break (because I went on holiday), would it be alright to have my 7 day break now and then just start a new pack afresh? Because I really think that this might help my stomach stop hurting honestly.

Also has anyone else found they've NEVER had constipation problems until they started the combination pill?
