My experience : Please share your experience with Nexplanon
I’m currently not on birth control. I took the pill for several years but got off as I was so tired of the hormones being 30 years old. I considered getting an IUD but I’m not 100% convinced yet. I have terrible health anxiety and I’m afraid that will make it so much worse. I’m not thrilled about using condoms (I’m in a long term relationship) but that’s the solution for now. I’ve been trying to convince my boyfriend to get a vasectomy as I’m not sure that I want kids and if I do, it wouldn’t be for several years.
I have thought about Nexplanon and I do know that this has some hormones. However, I’ve also heard a lot about big weight gain on this and that terrifies me (I’m working on overcoming disordered eating). So I was just wondering for anyone who has been on this, if you would be able to tell me about your experience, good or bad!
Thank you!
