My experience : Suggestions for short-term birth control?

(Originally posted in r/women, they suggested I post here instead)

I (24F) have the arm implant that I got about a month after meeting my now husband. I had a few side effects within the first few months when my body was adjusting but the lasting ones were decrease in libido and longer cycles and periods (used to be 28 day cycle, 7 day period and really regular, now 55-60 day cycle and 12-15 day light period). The implant expires in November and once it does, I want to use a different form of birth control that I can easily stop using within 6-12 months so we can try for a baby.

Do you have any suggestions on birth control that won't affect my libido? I can deal with the irregular period but the low libido thing sucks and made me feel like someone else (previously I had a high drive and always initiated sex, now I have to consciously remind myself to initiate). I know side effects are different for everyone but I want to have a few options ready to ask my gynecologist about. Thank you in advance!
