high androgen birth control (nuva ring, 5 years) triggered my hair loss but i never gained any weight. when i switched to anti androgen birth control (Yaz), my hair regrew rapidly but it also caused fat redistribution and weight gain. it seems i have to choose between my body or my hair.

has anyone had success adding spironolactone while on a birth control that prevented weight gain? Could the spironolactone protect your hair from the androgenic effects of the birth control?

Need advice and thoughts . Seen two endocrinologists and they have been useless.
