My experience : Copper IUD Strings

Hi! I have been on the copper IUD for 3 years now I’ve never had issues but I have never been able to feel my IUD strings. My doctor told me its in place and its fine but that was about a year ago. Now my concern is I got my period two weeks ago and bleeding completely stopped last Friday 9/16. I had sex on Sunday9/18 and I started spotting. Very light bleeding and some cramping. I tried feeling my strings but like I mentioned I never been able too. I have scheduled an appointment with my Dr for next week but I’m just scared I might be pregnant. Has anyone experienced this before?
