Birth-control- Currently have Kyleena, thinking of switching to ParaGard or Nexplanon:fCare

What birth control options are available?

Barrier methods. Examples include male and female condoms, as well as the diaphragm, cervical cap and contraceptive sponge. Short-acting hormonal methods. ... Long-acting hormonal methods. ... Sterilization. ... Spermicide or vaginal gel. ... Fertility awareness methods.

My experience : Currently have Kyleena, thinking of switching to ParaGard or Nexplanon

I have Kyleena, I've had it in since April 2019. I know I still have a year and a half left with it, but I'm trying to get info on other options. I'm either going to get another Kyleena placed, switch to ParaGard, or get the Nexplanon. I love my IUD. I still have periods but they're not too bad, I like that I don't have to worry about getting pregnant, and I love that I don't have to remember to take a pill every day.

The only downside I've had with Kyleena is that I've had a couple ovarian cysts that were painful and delayed my cycle.

I'm looking for insight on ParaGard and Nexplanon.

My reasons for possibly switching:

I used to use a menstrual cup, which I've tried using with my IUD (my doctor okay'd it after year and my strings are short) but the anxiety of possibly dislodging it was too much so I switched back to tampons, which is money I hate spending.

I've been on hormonal birth control for 13 years and am interested in seeing what my body does with no extra hormones.

Any insight/experience with either option would be great! Thanks!
