My experience : Did nexplanon help with your irregular periods?
Hello!
I’ve been been on the combo pill since 2018 (with low estrogen) due to my PCOS. I never had my period and when I did, it would be super painful, heavy and last two weeks. I have not been using it for sexual reasons but my boyfriend and I are planning to close the gap in our LDR soon+ we don’t want kids. I’m terrified about the IUD insertion procedure because I believe where I live, they don’t provide anything to alleviate the pain. My best bet was nexplanon.
I understand that birth control works differently for everyone and with nexplanon, you need to have a waiting period to adjust your hormones; but is there anyone who had irregular periods before they got on Nexplanon and it became more regular?
(I will be speaking to a GP about this but I just wanted some opinions :)) thank you!
