My experience : did the nuva ring cause PCOS?

ive never had symptoms of PCOS until i stopped taking birth control. from age 13- 22 i was not on birth control, and i had no weight gain, hirsutism, acne, hair loss, insulin problems or anything. my period was like clockwork. i have no ovarian cysts. none of this changed when i started nuva ring at 22. a few years down the line i realized that nuva ring could be causing my hair to thin, so i stopped it this year, at age 27. since stopping it, i have had weight gain and body fat redistribution, which i have never had before. i started rapidly after stopping nuva ring. i have no appetite changes at all. i have always worked out and kept a clean diet. what could be happening?
