My experience : Forgot to take placebo pills last month- still no period this month?

Hello! Last month I accidentally started my new birth control pack during the placebo week (my packs changed from 28 days to 21, so now there’s no actual placebo pill. That’s why I got confused and accidentally started the new pack.) I continued the new pack so I never got my period last month. This week is the new “placebo week”, but I haven’t gotten my period which I usually get by mid week. Is this because I messed up last month? I did test to make sure, and I’m not pregnant.
