My experience : Prescribed azithromycin, google tells me it interacts with Sprintec?
I got prescribed azithromycin for a possible strep infection. Upon google the interaction between Sprintec and azithromycin it says that due to the azithromycin reducing bacteria in my gut, the ethinyl estradiol in Sprintec will not be absorbed properly? How true is this? I don’t want to take any risks and make sure I’m fully protected. I take my pill daily, never miss, and do not want to become pregnant while taking this antibiotics. Although I read on here that on my one antibiotic causes BC to become ineffective, I’m getting conflicting info from articles and interaction checkers on google.
