My experience : First pill on the first day of period. But help?!
Background: I’ve been on the pill for a couple of years. But a lot of family members have recently had a lot of blood clots happening. I talked to my doctor and she recommended that I stopped taking them. Now 6 months later I’m reminded every month why I started taking them so I went to the doctor today and talked, and she prescribed mini pills that I picked up today.
The problem: my period has ALWAYS been regular. The same amount of days in a cycle, the same amount of blood and the same cramping at specific times of the day. The last 4 days I’ve only been spotting and no “real” period (which is VERY unlike me, max 1 day spotting and then full blown period). This has only happened once when I was 12 years old and sick. Never since. The problem is now: is this my period and should I take the first pill? Or should I wait a cycle or a couple of days? What would happen if I took the first pill and it isn’t my period?
