My experience : after my mirena displaced, i didn’t want to get a new one, but with everything going on, i think i need some form of long term birth control. thoughts?
i’ve had the mirena twice, most recently it was displaced after unusually rough bedroom activities and i had to get it taken out. i’m considering the kyleena, but i am terrified at the thought of getting an iud and it displacing again. also, since it displaced once, i don’t know if a smaller one is the way to go? i have really heavy periods and hormonal bc helps, but i don’t love how it makes me feel emotionally.
does anyone have experience switching from mirena to kyleena, or an iud to an implant? i’m also worried about weight gain as it’s something i struggle with anyway :/ i would so love to not need birth control
