My experience : Experiences of Having heavy/long periods before copper IUD?

I'm thinking of switching from Blisovi Fe to Paragard IUD. I know I should be expecting longer and heavier periods but prior to birth control, my periods were already about 5-7 days long, heavy at the beginning lighter at the end. I'm curious if there are other women who also had heavier/longer periods before the copper IUD and what your experiences are.
