My experience : Missed birth control for a week, what do I do?

I 18F am on Sprintec birth control pills. I had my placebo week 2 weeks ago and then went on vacation for a week. Because I was on my placebo the week before I completely forgot to bring my pills, so now it has been 2 weeks since I’ve taken my pills (only 1 of those weeks being considered a miss). As of today and yesterday I have started a new pack of my pills, but I’m not sure if that’s the right decision. I’m not worried about pregnancy as I’m not sexual active right now and I mainly take the pills for hormone reasons. Is it ok to start a new monthly pack after missing a week? It’s hard to find exact information online through google searches so any advice would be greatly appreciated!
