My experience : getting birth control without parents knowing

hi there! i’m a 17F and i’ve been really wanting to start birth control but i’m unsure on what method i should start because i really don’t want my parents knowing about it since they’re highly against it.

i’m hesitant with the pill because although it’s easy to get, keep private about and not as costly, the effectiveness is what is pushing me off a little bit.

with the iud, it’s a lot more effective but it’s costly and a little harder to keep private about.

i’m on my parents health insurance and i’m unsure on how i can keep this private.
