What is "Obstetrics " ?
Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.
My experience over Obstetrics "Post cesarean ssi"
Hello , I am an Obstretician. Since jan 2022 , there is increased rate of post cs wound infection at my hospital, that to after 35 to 45 days post CS . Infection is limited to skin and subcutaneous tissue only and have good sensitivity to drugs . I have a tried all necessary things to know the cause of infection but no luck there . What could be the cause of infection.? All culture of the wound infection gave different organism . Thank you .
