My experience : Going to likely start birth control after 6 years off. Nervous

I took the pill for three years, but I don't remember the brand (I think it might have been Mircette).

It killed my sex drive and made sex incredibly painful.

But, I'm about to need to start BC once again. I'm nervous about these side effects. I'm especially nervous that my BC will ruin my mental health.

I need suggestions. Are there any birth control brands or options which won't make me depressed or anxious, won't kill my sex drive, and won't make sex painful? I know it's definitely best to talk to my doctor, but some anecdotal evidence can't hurt, either. 🙏🏻
