My experience : Natural Cycles advice?
I’ve been on the hormonal IUD for 2 years. I found out I was pregnant, but after continuing with the pregnancy I had a miscarriage because of the coil (they couldn’t remove it). I am now scared to have sex with the coil due to the surprise pregnancy, and I don’t want to go through something like this again.
The combined pill nearly killed me, progesterone only pills made me so poorly, my body expelled the copper coil and the implant has made several women in my family end up in hospital with severe reactions.
I have started a very intense career, but am in a stable relationship of 7 years with my partner.
I am considering natural cycles as the next step, but feel like their website has too much propaganda, while newspapers and blogs shun the life out it. I would just like some honest experiences from normal women.
My periods are like clockwork, I have a regular sleep schedule and wake up the same time almost every day. This makes me think it would work for me.
I would probably use the withdraw method on green days, and condoms on red days for extra precaution while I am so traumatised from my miscarriage.
Would love to hear your stories/ experiences!
