My experience : need to replace my IUD: i have kyleena but what about other IUDS like liletta?
i’ve had the kyleena for 5 years, so it is at the end of its life span and i’m tryna get it replaced this summer.
the obgyn i went to kept recommending the liletta but i have never heard of it before and was hesitant and wanted to do some research first.
the obgyn kept telling me that kyleena and liletta were the same, but looking online the dosage of hormones were different, liletta seemed to have a higher dosage/daily dosage, and i’m worried that will effect me after being on kyleena for 5 years. the size of the liletta is also bigger than kyleena
i don’t have bad period cramp but my periods last pretty long (7-14 days), i get hormonal acne/cysts right before my period, but other than that i haven’t had many problems with the kyleena, i pretty much forgot abt it until now bc i have to get it replaced very soon. i’m just wondering if i should stick with the kyleena, and if there’s any benefits to changing to liletta, which my obgyn is pushing. ppls personal experience with other brands of iuds are very welcomed
