My experience : Positive Kyleena IUD Experience
So today I had the Kyleena IUD inserted and honestly it wasn’t nearly as bad as I had feared. Like I’m sure many of you had, I’d heard every horror story under the sun about how the pain is unbearable, how you’ll vomit, pass out, etc so I prepared for the worst. But the pain wasn’t very bad! It admittedly wasn’t pleasant, felt like a bit of a nasty period cramp, but I was able to handle it and it only took a few minutes. I’ve got a bit of residual cramping post-insertion but it is mild.
For the record, I do NOT AT ALL speak for everyone who has had an IUD put in. I know some people have had terrible experiences, while others have had it even easier than me! I think it’s just important and comforting to know that not every person will have a horrible experience.
