What is "Obstetrics " ?
Obstetrics is the field of study concentrated on pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. As a medical specialty, obstetrics is combined with gynecology under the discipline known as obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), which is a surgical field.
My experience over Obstetrics "Terrified of cancer"
28 y/o, sexually not active, not on birth control
Always had my period very regularly. Last normal period was at the end of December. In the beginning of January I had a bleeding irregularly for about 10 days (longer than normal) without the cramps I usually have. Then I had no period until the end of April. It was normal in lenght and intensity, but had no cramps again at all. Haven't had a period again since.
I don't have any other symptoms, no discharge, no pain or anything.
Could this be cancer? I'm terrified and can't get an appointment until next month.
