My experience : 2 month long periods on the implant - prescribed gedarel

i’ve had the implant for 4.5 years now (replaced at 3 years) and had no bleeding for the first three years but i had a very long one in my fourth year, then nothing again until this march. i had a two month long period, a break for about a month, and then another one lasting two months and still going. saw a nurse who prescribed me gedarel pill to take for three months to see if this stops bleeding. was wondering if anyone has done this before and how long until my period will end on this pill? i really just want my implant taken out at this point but it seems i have to wait three months to see if this method works. having a long distance boyfriend i only see for a certain period of time a month makes these long periods really inconvenient. considering the ibuprofen trial as well but i’m unsure whether that’ll even work/potentially be dangerous.
