My experience : Missed pill 24 hours late. Take 2?

I never missed a pill or was late so I don't know what to do. I only noticed I missed yesterday's when it was time to take today's one and yesterday's pill was still there. I took today's one 1 hour ago, on the correct hour, should I have taken 2 pills instead of one?

I'm on a combined BC, it's a 21+7, and I'm on my 4th pill today (missed the third). This is a beginning pack, last time I took bc was 8 months ago.

I haven't had sex in weeks so I'm fine, but when can I have it again without risk? I'm talking about the 99% protection that's written on the package... I don't know if I should ignore the last 3 days and count today as day one :(

edit: okay I took another one because I think I misread and panicked, but it's... fine to take two pills on 1 hour window, right? Should I make myself vomit if that's wrong? oh god
