My experience : Paragard IUD and PCOS

Hi All - I (30F) have had a copper IUD for about 2 months now and the insertion was terrible (never been pregnant) but things seemed to be getting better. However, I’m dealing with an on and off again metallic smell and near constant feeling of bloating. I experience some painful cramping, but mostly I just feel nauseous and so uncomfortably bloated. Part of me wants to give up and have it removed, but part of me wants to wait 6 months and see if it gets better.

I feel like it might be relevant to know I have PCOS and never had a regular period in my life, but I’m determined to let my body handle hormones on its own with other non-pharmaceutical aids.

If anyone else has PCOS and a copper IUD or this constant bloating feeling, please give me some feedback to help me with my decision. TIA.
