My experience : Freaking out over emergency contraception

Hello, I wanted to see if anyone can tell me their experiences with ellaOne, since I had unprotected sex with a partner, about two weeks ago, and around that time is when I was supposed to ovulate. The person finished inside of me, it was a mistake but we went and bought ellaOne about 12 hours later. Now, I heard that that pill doesn't work after ovulation, and I have no idea if I have ovulated or not, and if I did ovulate, did the egg die early enough that there is no chance of me getting pregnant. I was supposed to get my period a couple of days ago, and since I went trough some stressful stuff this past month, and since my period isn't regular, and since I know that ellaOne makes your period late, I don't know what to think, I will do a pregnancy test in a week or so. I have no symptoms of neither pregnancy or a period, apart from being sick from time to time, but since it is a stressful period I smoke a lot of cigarettes which make me nauseous at times, and the stress alone makes me nauseous. I hope that someone can tell me their experience, if they had one similar to mine, since I'm freaking out, if I'm pregnant, I need to find a way to get enough money for an early abortion pill, I was supposed to get about half the money needed but my paycheck is late, I can't ask anyone to lend me money since I feel like I can't tell absolutely nobody about this situation. :/
