My experience : I just got my IUD and I'm freaking out reading stories about people with retroverted uterus (which I have).
Hi!
I'm just freaking out right now.
I just got my IUD, first time. Before starting, my doctor did a ultrasound (transvaginal) and said that I had a tilted uterus, which was normal but a little more difficult to insert.
I felt the pinch and the horrible pain but I thought it was fine. She had to adjust the opener (don't know the name, the tool who keeps your vagina open) once, but it didn't preocuppied me at the time. After finishing, she screened again with ultrasound to see the placement and said it was good (although she took a little time, maybe 1-2 minutes?). I'm having bad cramps, cried and throwed up on the first hour, but since the meds kicked in its being manageable.
I'm reading all this stories on Reddit about IUD placement in people with tilted uterus, and how it can perfurate the uterus, how it hurts, how it can just fell of and I'm not feeling fine. I do feel a weird feeling, more like an uncomfortable thing on my vagina... Is that the strings? Is that normal?
I'm just feeling so ignorant right now and I don't know what to do.
Please, help and share your stories with me!
Thanks.
