My experience : Looking for other options
Nexplanon made me borderline suicidal. It numbed all my emotions and MURDERED my sex drive. I swapped to the Kyleena and kept it in for about 7 months, and during that time I had an average of 3 week long periods and only 1 week no period, killer cramps, and lowered sex drive.
I’ve got a history of anxiety and depressive moods. My ‘normal’ periods are really easy— 5ish days long, light, no cramps. I don’t want to mess those up with a copper IUD, but I’m not sure what other options I have that won’t completely defeat the purpose of even using BC.
Does anyone have recommendations for someone pretty sensitive to hormones?
