My experience : Scared of birth control

Hey girls, I am 30 years old and I have not been in any type of birth control so far because mainly I have heard so many horror stories about the pill and birth control that I just did condoms during my sexual life.

The main problem is that without birth control I am not really healthy. I suffered really bad acne when I was a teen and have suffered hairless in multiple occasions. Besides I had cysts in my ovaries, irregular periods and really painful cramps.

Lately, I have been having really bad migraines and hot flashes so after a visit to the gynaecologist they suggested that I would try the mini pill. Only progesterone pill. The doctor told me my mood swings and other problems could even out with the help of the pill but the most I read, the most hesitant I am of taking the pill.

Is anybody out there like me with also a crazy hormonal unbalance without any birthcontrol and that somehow was fixed with the help of the pill?
