My experience : Am I still protected?

Last month I forgot to take a pill during the last week of my pack (but I don't exactly remember when). I took it by about 20 hours late, then finished the pack and continued with a new one without the pause in between, as I read on the leaflet. I found contrasting information about the need to use extra protection for the next week, but I didn't worry too much as me and my boyfriend always use condoms in addition to the pill. Less than a week later though we had unprotected sex (he pulled out but may have done it a bit too late). Can I still trust the effect of the pill? I didn't realize it could be risky before it was already too late to take plan B.
