My experience : Help! can diarrhea cramps cause my birth control to not absorb??
hello! so I have a question. last night I ate dinner around 7 pm, and at 8:30ish pm my stomach randomly started hurting/cramping so bad. I thought maybe it was because of what I ate, and was certain I was going to have diarrhea just by the way my stomach was cramping. I usually take my pill at 9 but decided to wait about 30 minutes in case I did have diarrhea (didn’t want the pill to go right through me). well finally at 9:30, stomach was still cramping (especially when I would walk around) so i first tried to see if i’d poop, and didn’t, so I went ahead and took my pill anyways at 9:36. didn’t have diarrhea but I did have some gas. took ibuprofen for the pain and went to sleep.
fast forward to this morning, I ate 2 cinnamon rolls and my stomach hurt a little bit but not near as bad as last night. now at 3 pm, I just had a bowel movement that was formed and but also some diarrhea.
could it be possible my pill didn’t absorb all the way because the stomach cramps were going on when i took it? should I take another pill now? how should I proceed… any advice would be appreciated!! also I take tri-sprintec, and the last time i had sex was tuesday night if that helps!
