My experience : Nonstop Bleeding after mirena IUD insertion
Hey everybody! I’m a fairly active 23y.o and I got the mirena IUD inserted at the end of my period in late September bc I couldn’t stand the paragaurd one, it made me cramp, gain weight and endlessly bleed for weeks. After the mirena IUD, I was fine for about a week but then I started spotting dried black blood. That developed into my period, so now I’ve had continuous bleeding for 3 whole weeks, going on my fourth now. It’s not super painful cramp-wise but I work out a lot so bleeding all the time is super inconvenient and very irritating, I was just wondering how long it normally takes to adjust to mirena? Did anyone else experience never ending periods of substantial bleeding at the beginning? If so when did it end for you? Rn It feels like I’m going to bleed forever 😥
