My experience : Periods after IUD removal
I had my skyla IUD removed on 9/28, after dealing with a month of pain and discomfort.
I got what I thought was a period.. really bad cramping and back pain on 8/13, lasted about 2 days but the cramping and back pain wouldn’t go away. went to my doctor on 8/22, complained about feeling pressure in my back and constant cramping and she said everything was fine, sent me on my way home. 9/28 the pain became unbearable.. ended up at a planned parenthood and they tried to tell me the pain was normal, and advised me against having it removed… I knew that was the source so I insisted it be removed It was immediate relief and I haven’t had any pain.
Now I’m wondering how long it takes for cycles to go back to normal? I haven’t had a period in about 4 years.
If anyone can share their experience I would really appreciate it!
