Hi!

I’m on DEPO till I finally get my IUD inserted. I’m wondering what it felt like and how it was for people who switched from DEPO to the Mirena IUD. My IUD insertion appointment is on week 10 of my DEPO shot, is this ok or good or bad?

Also, I was on DEPO for over a year with no periods or anything and then bled for about 3 weeks at about week 9 of shot 5. My doctor recommended I stop taking DEPO for a bit and my ultrasound was clear (besides for a couple of cysts on my ovaries that my doctor said were not concerning).

I’m back on DEPO with my doctor’s approval after about 3 months without it and I “bled” from the day I got it for about 3 weeks, now I think everything is good lol

What should I expect when going from DEPO to the Mirena IUD? I have 3 boxes of 40 tampons on standby lol
