My experience : Advise for coming off the pill after 12 years

Hello,

I have decided to come off the birth control pill Marvelon after 12 years (I was put on pill by a doctor due to my irregular and painful periods) due to mental health and for general health. I DO NOT want to get pregnant and I’m not sure how to prepare for this hormonal change - any advise would be very welcomed! I am worried my painful irregular periods would come back; I am also worried about getting pregnant (will use condoms as contraception).
