My experience : Breakthrough Bleeding- Nortrel
I feel like I’m losing my mind. How much breakthrough bleeding is too much? In October of 2021 I switched from Sprintec to Necon, and was on that until Feb 2022. During that time I had 2 months of breakthrough bleeding in the beginning but that stopped. the pharmacy switched me to Nortrel because none in the area had Necon in stock. So I have been taking Nortrel for the past 3 months, and have been like clockwork beginning my period a week early. Like, cramps, light bleeding that progressively get worse throughout the last active week and continue through my placebo week. I do not miss pills and take them at the same time every night. I am at my wits end with this because it is negatively affecting my sex life with my partner and honestly, who wants to bleed for two weeks. I was under the impression that Nortrel and Necon were interchangeable? Has anyone else had a similar experience?
